KNOXVILLE, Iowa (December 4, 2023) – The 2024 season will be business as usual for three-time All Star Circuit of Champions champion, Aaron Reutzel, as the Clute, Texas, native is set to make his return to Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) and ultimately contend for a track championship at the Sprint Car Capital of the World. Reutzel, a three-time Knoxville Raceway winner during the 2023 season, will pilot the Brian and Lisa Ridge-owned, Folkens Bros Trucking-powered No. 87 in his quest for track domination, working to better his most recent championship-seeking performance that concluded fourth in Knoxville’s final standings.

“I want to thank Brian and Lisa Ridge for the opportunity to return in 2024. It’s been our goal to earn a Knoxville Raceway track championship and I’m confident we have the tools to accomplish it,” Aaron Reutzel said. “I also want to thank Folkens Brothers Trucking and Don Long at STC for coming on board to help with our efforts in 2024. Between their support, and having Austin Miller as our Knoxville team manager, only good things are ahead for this RSR No. 87.”

In addition to their Knoxville Raceway commitments, Aaron Reutzel and the RSR No. 87 will hit and miss a number of high profile events such as neighboring World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and High Limit Sprint Car Series programs throughout the Midwest.

“We’re pleased to have Aaron Reutzel return to Ridge & Sons Racing in 2024. His commitment to this race team is above and beyond and we’re ready to contend for a Knoxville championship,” Brian Ridge, owner of the Commercial Edge, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Folkens Brothers Trucking, STC, No. 87 sprint car, said. “We have a lot of laps at Knoxville, and if anyone deserves to earn a championship, it’s Aaron Reutzel. I’m anxious to see how things unfold.”

The 2024 Knoxville Raceway season is set to activate on Friday and Saturday, April 19-20; Friday will include multiple practice sessions with Saturday’s event featuring a full program. Reutzel and RSR will venture south to the Sunshine State prior to their slate in the Midwest, kicking things off with High Limit Sprint Car Series and 360 Sprint Car competition at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida.
