Bryce Lucius, 17, joins veteran crew chief Tyler Swank and STP Motorsports for a loaded 2025 season

FINDLAY, Ohio (December 2024) - Local Ohio native, Bryce Lucius joins veteran crew chief Tyler Swank for a jam packed 2025 season, starting in Florida with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Volusia Speedway Park on February 5th, 2025. The STP Motorsports team is planning a pick and choose schedule, with multiple local shows factored in amongst some World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and High Limit Series events.
“I’m excited to change gears again and build something we’re proud of. I’m grateful to help another young guy take the next step in his career. I know it’ll be a challenge, with a lot of ups and downs but hopefully we can improve and learn together each night. I would like to thank Tyson for the opportunity.” said Swank on the circumstances.
“I’m looking forward to working with Tyler and hoping to achieve his success that he’s had previously. I’m thankful Tyson chose me to drive for him, as there are a lot of other good drivers out there. I’m more than thankful for the opportunity that he’s given us to put together this race team and I cannot wait to get the season started in Florida. I’m ready to learn by racing with the best and earn their respect.” said Bryce on the new opportunity.
“With STP Motorsports, a new team in the sport, it is vitally important to have a high caliber crew chief like Tyler Swank for so many reasons. Tyler will have a unique role, not only setting up the car, but he is going to be a mentor for me to help me learn the business and more importantly, a mentor to Bryce. Bryce (Lucius) is an extremely talented sprint car driver and I have all the confidence in both Tyler and Bryce to get this team moving forward. This season is going to be a lot of learning, highs and lows, but most importantly, we are doing what we love; racing sprint cars.” said Oakman on the new team pairing.
