KNOXVILLE, Iowa (October 10th, 2024) - Hanover native, Dylan Norris will be handed the reins of the Team DGRD 6K entry for the last Pennsylvania World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race of the 2024 season at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania.

Respected car owner, Dennis Gainey, took a chance on the Hanover hot shoe, due to Team DGRD 6K’s primary driver, Kaleb Johnson, having prior obligations. While Johnson steps away from the driver’s seat for Saturday, Norris will make a solid replacement in the 6K.

The Keystone Showdown presented by World of Outlaws Sprint Cars; paying $20,000 to the winner; will be held at Lincoln Speedway. The 3/8ths mile resting in the Pigeon Hills will take place on the initial date that was previously held by Selinsgrove Speedway, that was cancelled a month prior. The Keystone Showdown will feature the same format that the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series carries throughout the season; Time Trials, Heats, C-Main (if needed), Dash, Last Chance Showdown, and A-Main Feature event to follow.

“I’d like to thank Dennis Gainey and Team DGRD for the opportunity to get back on track this weekend against the World of Outlaws at Lincoln Speedway. Dennis fields a nice, fast race car that competes across the country. So for him to offer me a chance to compete with some of the best this weekend is truly an honor. I’m looking forward to the opportunity this Saturday night in the 6K.” said Norris, on the circumstances.

“Dylan is a talented, young driver, and it will be great to see him perform in the 6K this Saturday. This will be a good opportunity to see how we, as a team, stack up against the toughest in the country with a driver who is competitive at Lincoln Speedway on a weekly basis. Also, I’d like to extend a warmth of gratitude to Shawn Norris, Dylan Norris, and Lawton Leppo for completing maintenance in preparation for Saturday’s World of Outlaws show. We are thankful for all the sponsors that help our team compete at the highest level.” said Gainey.

The last Pennsylvania World of Outlaws Sprint Car race will be held officially at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. For a closer look at the event, please visit World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars online at www.worldofoutlaws.com
