Mark Burch Motorsports tabs driver, Zach Hampton for 2nd 2024 Chili Bowl contender

LINCOLN, Nebraska (December 19th, 2023) - The Plainfield, Indiana native, Zach Hampton will be behind the wheel of the Team Jack Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research and Mark Burch Motorsports’ second Chili Bowl entry contending for the famed Golden Driller in Tulsa, Oklahoma in January 2024.
The Chili Bowl Nationals presented by NOS Energy Drink; known as the Super Bowl of racing, paying $20,000 to the winner; is held at the Tulsa SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Chili Bowl Nationals format is calculated by qualifying points; where each driver receives points through passing in their heat races to line up the final day of racing. Teams will look to race through the alphabet in hopes of winning the prestige Golden Driller trophy on the final evening of competition. The famed Chili Bowl has a long-standing history in grassroots racing dating back to 1987. Currently, there are 300 entries (12.14.2023), from across the United States signed up to compete.
“I will be happy if we can make our preliminary night feature and stay out of the large amount of wrecks that usually take place. This will help set us up for a highly productive and successful week amidst all the action,” said Hampton on the opportunity. “Usually, this is a week right in the middle of my off season from racing 410 sprint cars. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Mark and excited to improve from my past Chili Bowl results,” said Hampton.
“Zach is a talented racer from Indiana. We have enjoyed not only competing against him on occasion, but also watching him race at Knoxville, Iowa and throughout the Midwest in 410 winged competition. Zach has a great fan following and should prove to be a fun driver to work with at the 2024 Chili Bowl,” commented Burch on working with Hampton.
”The Chili Bowl has provided an incredible amount of exposure for the Team Jack Foundation. Last year, by sheer chance, we were able to place a family with a child suffering from brain cancer with the Team Jack Foundation. It’s been a blessing to have the support of Team Jack as we continue to fight to raise money for research to help these kids.”, said Burch on the importance to raise awareness and money for the Team Jack Foundation during this year’s Chili Bowl. “Team Jack is also giving you a chance to win a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2-Door Convertible when you donate to this cause. The 2024 Chili Bowl Nationals will officially kick off at the Tulsa Sagenet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, January 8th, 2024.
